My Interview with Allistar Banks

What is your name and/or pen name?

Allistar Banks

What genre do you write?

Children’s and Adult Fiction

What made you want to be a writer?

Writing helped me to heal from my parents’ divorce and going through my first break-up.

How do you feel about the writing community as a whole?

The writing community tends to promote themselves without purpose. I feel like when you join a Writer’s group it is a lot of like each other’s pages and not necessarily everyone is going to be interested in your page since it might not appeal to them. I feel like when Authors, Freelancers, and Writers post their social media pages they need to distinct their target audience and what is your page about. When an Author needs feedback on their work, no one seems to want to help them.

Have you or will you be willing to collaborate with other authors in the future?

I will be willing to collaborate with other authors in the future because I want to continue to grow and learn as an Author.

Tell us about your book and if it’s upcoming or already published.

My book I have published on Amazon now is called “A Journey Unfolds” for college girls that are looking for encouragement through life’s trials and to have a fulfilling life.

My upcoming books are called “Spring Brings Summer,” “Lenny the Lizard and His Green Scarf,” and “The Rainbow Hot Air Balloon.”

Is your book or upcoming book an eBook, paperback, or both?

It is both a paperback and eBook.

My upcoming books will be paperback and eBook.

Is this your first book?

A Journey Unfolds” is my second book.

Are you planning to write more?

I have a novel in the works called “The Game of Graces” and I am working on a series called Nosy Nicole.

Is there anything you would say to other writers, that want to write and publish a book?

An Author needs to invest in a serious Editor so they can pick up on content development and grammar. Self-publishing gives you a better option of getting your book out there quicker, you can be in control of the royalties’ and book cover, and how you want your content placed.

Where can my readers find your book and how they can follow you on social media? Leave only links that you want open to the public.
